PURPOSE:To heat a heat-shrinkable tubing uniformly along its overall length by applying a ring heater movable freely along the length of a long size object to be covered with the heat-shrinkable tubing. CONSTITUTION:A long size object 2 applied with a heat-shrinkable tubing 1 is set through the ring heater 5 on the holding parts 4, 4 of the heating apparatus which is equipped with the ring heater 5 composed of a spirally wound electric heating wire, a reflector made of thin metal plate and the driving mechanism 6 moving the heater 5 horizontally right and left, and vertical position of the heater 5 is adjusted correspondingly to the position of the heat-shrinkable tubing 1 and the object 2 by operating a fixing screw 9. Then, by operating the driving mechanism 6 the heater is moved right and left, and makes the heat-shrinkable tubing 1 to shrink and cover the object 2. |
