PURPOSE:To obtain a high-speed welding device for electron or laser beam welding in the atmosphere that increases solidification speed and prevents defects such as faulty bead etc. by providing a air- or gas-jetting nozzle near the beam emitting nozzle. CONSTITUTION:Inflow of air from the atmosphere side into a low vacuum chamber 3 that has a small hole 6 communicated to the atmosphere side is prevented by air or Ar jetted from a small hole 7 making a specified angle at the position of the hole 6. A small hole 8 that jets shield gas to prevent interference of gas from the hole 7 is provided at the position of the hole 6, and diffusion of the gas and electron beam 10 in the atmosphere is prevented by a cylindrical guide 11 on the welded material side of the hole 6. Inactive gas such as air and Ar is jetted from a cooling nozzle 14 which is communicated to a small hole 13 near the guide 11 to quicken solidification of molten metal 15. Consequently, burning-through of molten metal can be prevented in the case of welding, especially in the case of high-speed circular welding. |
