<p>PURPOSE:To inhibit the growth of filamentous bacteria and propagate activated sludge bacteria by continuously adding FeCl3 to org. waste water in the stage of dilution in a manner that its concn. attains 10-30ppm, and aerating the same by using activated sludge. CONSTITUTION:A treating thak is constituted of an aerating tank 1 and a settling tank 2, which are segmented by a partition wall 3 and are communicated with each other at the bottom end of the partition wall 3. An aerating sphere 4 is disposed in the central bottom part of the tank 1, and an air feeding pipe 5 is disposed thereto from an air intake port. A flowmeter 6 and a blower 7 are provided to the pipe 5, and a water feeding pipe 9 is provided to the tank 1 from a tank 8 for water to be treated. The liquid to be treated which is org. waste water such as gaseous liquid produced in production processes for city gas or the like and diluted with sea water is fed from the tank 8 to the tank 1 and the tank 2, where it undergoes treatment, whereby sludge flocs of good consolidation are formed and the settling and separating of the flocks in the tank 2 are made easy.</p> |
