PURPOSE:To reduce the area of contact between an original and a feed roll, by securing an energizing contact between the feed roller and a chute, providing a protruded streak at the contact part right-angled to the rotary shaft of the feed roll and thus decreasing the space at the lower side of the feed roll by an extent equivalent to the protruded streak. CONSTITUTION:An original put onto a chute 2 is held between a feed roll 3 and a protruded streak 4 of the chute 2 to be carried to a platen belt 1 while receiving a correction for its position. In this case, the roll 3 has a contact to the top part of the streak 4, and a result a contact pressure can be increased with every unit area. |
