PURPOSE:To execute the heat treatment of a striplike material with less energy in high heat conductivity state by advancing the material while bending the same in a wave shape, and drawing the jet air flow applied on both front and rear surfaces to the lateral sides in the width direction. CONSTITUTION:A striplike material 1 is fed into a heater 5 through a feeder 2 and direction changing rolls 3, 4. In the device 5, the material 1 is quickly heated in a heating area A by the jet air flow 10 blown out from nozzles, and it corrugates and advances while bending at constant places depending upon the varying intensities of the air flow 10. Thence, the material 1 is soaked in a soaking area B, too, while it is being corrugated in a similar manner. Following to this, the material 1 is fed from the device 5 to a cooling device 16. In the device 16, too, the material 1 is cooled while being bent in a wave shape. Next, the material 1 passes through a throat 19 and enters the inside of a cooling liquid tank 20, where it is further cooled, after which it is dried by a dryer 22, and is fed to the next stage. |
