<p>PURPOSE:To feed sheets of paper reliably regardless of the size in such a way that ejecting rollers are provided on the paper conveying side of feed rollers, while, a detecting means is also installed in order to convey the sheets of paper at a high speed after they pass through the feed rollers, together with detection thereof. CONSTITUTION:Ejecting rollers 16 and ejected paper holding rollers 17 are installed circumscribing to one another on the paper conveying side of feed rollers 11 in a paper feeding mechanism (unshown in the figure), and a detector 28 is also provided to detect the trailing ends of sheets of paper 2. And circumferential speed of the ejecting rollers 16 is made faster than that of the feed rollers 11. When the sheets of paper 2 pass through the detector 28 with use of feed rollers 11, the detector 28 detects the trailing edges of the sheets of paper 2, turns off an electromagnetic clutch 21, and stops the sheets of paper 2. Since the sheets of paper 2 which have passed are conveyed at a high speed, the gap between the preceding sheets of paper and the succeeding sheets of paper 2 can be windened and the sheets of paper are reliably supplied one by one.</p> |
