PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by extending the stop time when a refrigerator repeating forced intermittent operation is stopped in the night time by a day/night discrimination signal, and by controlling the operation time of the refrigerator by monitoring a refrigerating load. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerator has an operation time timer TON and stop time timer TST and repeats its operation and stopping at constant intervals under their control. To the timer TST, a magnification setting device operating through a day/night discrimination signal operating relay IW is connected and a nighttime stopping time is set longer. Further, a load detecting circuit F is composed of thermosensors TH1-TH10, liquid solenoid valves LSV1-LSV10, and relays IY1- IY10, and a start deciding, circuit E is also composed of contacts of the relays IY1- IY10, automatic setting switches SW1-SW10, a forced intermittent operating/ stopping function stop switch SW11, and the contact of a defrosting relay XDTa. Further, a performance deciding circuit G is fabricated of (a) contacts IY1a-IY10a of the relays and performance setting switches SW11-SW20. The operating relays of delay timers T1 and T2 are connected to the circuits E and G to control the operation time of a refrigerator properly, thereby reducing its power consumption. |
