PURPOSE:To completely prevent a malfunction caused by an effect of external light for a paper counting machine using an optical system, by adding the closed state of a light shielding plate to the count starting conditions. CONSTITUTION:When an operator puts a note bundle 1 on a holder 2 and then pushes a start button, the holder 2 closes to hold the bundle 1. At the same time, protection covers 4 and 4 begin to close. When the covers close completely, a count motor is started. As a result, the notes adsorbed by an absorbing head are separated from the bundle 1 to be counted according to the rotation of a cylinder. |
