PURPOSE:To increase track density by reducing intertrack crosstalk during reproduction by giving an angle between magnetization inversion surfaces of adjacent tracks. CONSTITUTION:When an auxiliary magnetic pole 15 is energized by flowing an external signal current through a coil 16, a magnetic flux leaking from the auxiliary magnetic pole 15 converges on near a main magnetic pole 14 composed of materials with high magnetic permeability, thereby magnetizing a vertically magnetized film 11 vertically to the film surface. When the energizing direction of the auxiliary magnetic pole 15 is changed according to the signal current flowed through the coil 16, the vertical magnetized film is magnetized for recording as shown by an arrow 21. For recording on adjacent tracks, the angle between the main magnetic pole 11 and the moving direction 13 of a recording medium is varied, thereby achieving the recording with a constant angle between magnetization inversion surfaces 22 of the adjacent tracks. |
