PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent reproduced signal without using an amplifier having excellent frequency-phase characteristics, by incorporating a waveform shaping circuit in a signal recording and reproducing path. CONSTITUTION:Digital data to be recorded is recorded on a magnetic tape by way of a modulator, a recording amplifier and a recording head. This recorded signal, when reproduced, is reproduced and amplified by a reproducing head and a regenerative amplifier, whose output is inputted to a waveform shaper 7. Its input signal is passed through band-pass filters 9, 10 and 11, whose outputs, i.e. respective components of frequencies f1, f2 and f3 are amplified by amplifiers 12, 13 and 14; and their outputs are delayed by delay elements 15, 16 and 17 to eliminate mutual delay, and then added together by a synthesizer 18. The output signal of the synthesizer 18 is inputted to a demodulator to obtain desired reproduced digital data. |
