PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform mirror face grinding by alternately providing an electrode and a grinding cloth on the tool face and supplying an electrolyte mixed with grains to combine an electrolyte electrolytic working with grinding operation and further providing a part where the electrolyte stays, on the tool face. CONSTITUTION:An electrolyte feed port 16 is provided in the rotating shaft 14 of and an electrolyte 26 in which grains 27 are mixed is supplied therethrough. A buffering material 21 is mounted through an insulating layer 20 on the lower surface of disc-shaped electrode 17 provided at an electrolyte supply port 19. Under the buffering material, there is mounted a grinding cloth 23, which is provided with an electrolyte staying part 24. Holes are formed in the insulating layer 20 to form an available electrode surface 25. When the tool 14 is rotated and a voltage is applied thereto, mirror face grinding working combining the electrolytic working and grinding operation, is performed. As described above, since there is provided the electrolyte staying part 24, the grains and electrolyte are supplied uniformly, and hence mirror face working free of ridges and uniform in coarseness can be performed. |
