<p>PURPOSE:To perform stable transfer by electrostatically transferring the toner image on a charge holding body to an intermediate transfer body of which the surface has been treated with a high polymer compound containing fluorine, and transferring and fixing the toner image onto a copying material in the other position of the intermediate transfer body. CONSTITUTION:A charge holding body 1 assumes a drum shape, and consists of, for example, either of a photoconductive photoreceptor or an electrostatic recording body. A beltlike intermediate transfer body 5 of which the surface is treated by a high polymer compound containing fluorine is put on a roller 6 and a conductive roller 4. The toner image formed on the body 1 is once electrostatically transferred onto the body 5 without directly being electrostatically transferred to the copying material. In this case, the toner image is shifted to the other position in accordance with the turning of the body 5 and is transferred and fixed by the pressing and heating effects thereof; therefore, it is kept free from the influence of humidity by the copying material, no hindrances occur in the electrostatic transfer and image quality remains unchanged.</p> |
