<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency of start and stop of the machines to lower the failure rate by a method wherein the machines in a working line having a short cycle time are connected by means of a belt conveyor and a workpiece is carried with the delay of the fixed time in the destination machine, even if the destination machine is in the condition being to operate. CONSTITUTION:The prior process machine 1 and the posterior process machine 2 are connected by means of the belt 3 on which the workpiece is conveyed and the workpiece on the belt is detected with a detector 4. In the case that the circuit is closed by detecting the workpiece with the detector 4 remains to be closed for the time longer that the time necessary for the actuation of a timer 8 and the workpieces stand on the belt between the machines 1 and 2, the normally closed contact 12 of the timer 8 opens the circuit of the drive switch 10 for the machine 1 to stop the machine 1. After that, when the workpieces on the belt are cleared with the operation of the machine 2, after the delay time of a timer 9, the drive switch 10 closes again to operate the machine 1. When the cycle time of the machine 2 is short, the control is performed by means of a control device 7. Concretely, when there is no workpiece on the belt, the normally opened contact 17 of a timer 15 is opened to open a switch 16 to stop the machine 2. When a detector 5 is closed, after the delay time of the timer 15, the switch 16 is closed to operate the machine 2.</p> |
