<p>PURPOSE:To reclaim resin emulsion-containing waste water as an adhesive, a paint or the like, by adding a coagulant to the waste water to effect coagulation of the resin, separating and redispersing the coagulated product in water with the aid of a water-soluble polymer. CONSTITUTION:0.03-0.1% Coagulant, e.g., polyaluminum chloride, is added to waste water containing a synthetic resin emulsion, e.g., polyvinyl acetate emulsion, to adjust the pH to 6-8 and thereby to coagulate the emulsion. Then, the coagulated product is separated by filtration, centrifugation or a like operation to obtain a coagulated resin containing 20-25% solids, which is then dispersed in water by using 0.5-3% water-soluble polymer, e.g., polyacrylamide, as a dispersant.</p> |
