发明名称 INKING MECHANISM FOR WIRE-TYPE DOT PRINTER HEAD
摘要 PURPOSE:To convert the dynamic pressure of an ink fed as a pulsating flow into a static pressure, supply the ink to the tip part of a wire stably and securely and contrive to achieve a ribbonless construction, by providing an ink feed port and an ink discharge port in an inking mechanism in a specified manner. CONSTITUTION:When the ink is fed via an ink feed pipe 58 by using, for example, a pump, the ink reaches the feed port 59 as a large pulsating flow. Then the ink flow collides against a wall surface 66 of a passage communicating into bypaths 61, 62 and an ink passage 50 which is so constructed as to cross the wire 51. The main flow of the ink enters the bypaths 61, 62 and reaches the ink discharge port 60, while a small pulsating flow with its pressure reduced is directed into the passage 50. The passage 50 is filled up with the ink by, e.g., the attracting force of capillary action generated at a narrow gap between wire guides 52, 53. Further, the ink is drawn up to a printing end face of the wire 51 by the capillary action of a gap 54 between the outside peripheral surface of the wire 51 and a guide hole of the guide 52, whereas an excess ink is discharged via the discharge port 60 through an ink regulating and recovering groove 69. Accordingly, a constantly fixed amount of ink is supplied to the printing end face of the wire.
