PURPOSE:To inspect the bottom parts of bottles stably with simple constitution by providing a lens between ITV cameras and a bottle to be inspected, and providing a mask opposite to the lens. CONSTITUTION:When a bottle 14 to be examined arrives at a bottle inspecting position, a strobe 11 lights up and the image of the bottom of the bottle 14 is picked up on the image pickup planes of ITV cameras 16, 17 via a lens 27, a mask 1 and a half mirror 18, whereby the bottle bottom is inspected. The light passing through the body part of the bottle is shut off by a mask plate 2, and the real images are formed only by the light past the bottle bottom, so that only the images of the bottle bottom are picked up on the image pickup plane of the ITV cameras. Thereby, the bottle bottom is inspected without requiring any intricate signal processing and causing the decrease in capacity owing to this. |
