During the drying of ceramic shaped parts, in particular roof tiles, it is known to place them on pallets. Such a pallet (1) consists of a metal sheet (2) which has a C-shaped cross-section in its longitudinal direction, is of perforated design to enhance the drying within its support surface (6), and has depressions to receive projections of the ceramic shaped items. The pallet (1) is to be designed in such a way that the ceramic shaped items can be accommodated in their transverse position, the intention being for alternate positioning to be taken into consideration as well as dispensing with mounting in a specific position, such that shaped items placed on, for example offset by 180 DEG , can also be accommodated. For this purpose, the depressions provided for receiving the projections of the shaped items are designed as recesses (5) and are provided on both longitudinal edges of the pallet (1). <IMAGE>
