<p>A device is for the magnetic treatment of fluids such as water and liquid and gaseous fuels. It has an elongate, tubular, intermediate casing of magnetic material accommodating an elongate magnet having at least two axially spaced poles. An inner casing of non-magnetic material encases the magnet and a pair of non-magnetic end fittings connected to opposite ends, both of the intermediate casing and of the inner casing to form an annular treatment chamber between them. Apertures are provided in the inner casing clear of the magnet ends to form fluid flow paths to and from the treatment chamber. The magnet is encased and has its opposite, tubular ends received within recesses in the end fittings, which are dimensioned to provide a snug engagement and to positively lock the inner casing against axial movement relative to the fittings.</p> |
