PURPOSE:To permit obtaining a braking or stopping action by a stator itself by arranging each phase of coil group within a slot after making its number of turns a prescribed one and by creating a magnetic field from both ends of a stator core toward the central part thereof. CONSTITUTION:Three-phase windings are arranged within a slot of a stator core so that the number of turns of each phase of coil group with successively be reduced from one end of the stator core and at least three lead wires per each phase are taken out from the end winding. Further, windings are successively arranged in the reverse order according to a similar winding distribution within the same slot and at least three lead wires per each phase are taken out from the end winding.
