A garment intended for children's dressing-up play is capable of alteration by the attachment of various interchangeable facings or adornments. In this manner, the garment may adopt a changed appearance, and thus allow the child to assume a different make- believe character. Such facings may be attached by grip- fastenings, e.g. "Velcro" (RTM). It is possible to attach buckskin fringing, or a geometrical design, or a sheriff's star, according to the child's fancy. A waistcoat is illustrated, but dresses, trousers and coats may also be altered in this way.
|
