<p>Motor-vehicle roof with a roof opening which can be closed by a cover and is provided with a sealing surface against which a seal, which sits on the outer circumference of the cover, can be placed. The seal has a base part, which is in engagement with the outer circumference of the cover, and a first seal part, which protrudes from the base part and can be brought into pressure contact with the sealing surface.
