PURPOSE:To call a pocket bell in any area over the country by providing an originating base station at every place and by permitting those originating base stations to interchange information. CONSTITUTION:Electronic exchanges EP1-EPN are provided as originating base stations over the country. From an originating subscriber A, the telephone number of the originating subscriber and the number of a pocket bell to be called are transmitted to the EP1 through the nearest telephone exchange L1. The EP1 transmits both of the numbers to the EP2-EPN. By sending a radio wave, the EP1-EPN put the pocket bell of the called subscriber in operation. When the called pocket-bell holder dials the number of his or her own pocket bell to send a signal to the nearest originating base station, the previously stored pocket bell number and the originating-subscriber's number are matched and the originating subscriber and called subscriber are connected together. |
