<p>PURPOSE:To effectively detect the biting of rolls, even in a biting condition of being impossible to detect the biting by a current fluctuation of a motor of a rolling mill, by refering the counted value of number of pulses stored in the preceding rolling of a material to be rolled coincides with that of the present rolling to a biting value, for the detected value by a load cell in the biting of the rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:At the moment when a rolling material 13 is bitten into a rolling mill 1; a gate circuit 14, after receiving a biting signal from a load cell 10 and a pulse from a pulse oscillator 7, sends a pulse to a pulse counter 15 to be counted in the counter 15 and to be stored the counted value in a memory circuit 16. Next, when a succeding material 13 is bitten into the rolls 1; the contents, stored in the circuit 16 at the biting of the previous material 13, is compared with the contents, counted by the counter 15 in the same manner as before, in a coincidence-detecting circuit 18; and when one contents coincides with another one, a signal of coincidence is sent to a biting-detection select circuit 19. The circuit 19 selects a faster signal between the coincided one and the biting one from a cell 11 in order to outputs the faster one as the biting signal of a rolling mill 2.</p> |
