The invention relates to an indexing attachment, in particular for tooth-flank grinding machines which work according to the single indexing method, in which indexing attachment a defined number of revolutions of the indexing shaft are converted into a corresponding indexing-table rotary angle. The purpose of the invention is to increase the working productivity without adversely affecting the indexing accuracy. The object of the invention is on the one hand to keep the angular accelerations occurring during the indexing operation within predetermined values and on the other hand to realise a very high angular velocity for achieving a short indexing time. According to the invention, this is achieved by the positive-locking connection between an adjustable drive system and the indexing shaft and the change gears, the ratio of drive-shaft revolutions to indexing-shaft revolutions per division being a rational number, and the drive system performing a selectable integral number of revolutions with an angular-velocity profile per division predetermined by an adjusting unit and dependent upon the rotary angle. <IMAGE>
