The measuring of surface and shape changes of the human body uses a perforated template through which light is projected onto the patient's body and photographed for comparison with pictures taken previously. The template is trapezoidal, with horizontal lines across it and divided by a vertical line forming an axis of symmetry. Between the horizontal lines are dotted lines, and those lines nearer the base are further apart then lines nearer the top. This spacing varies in a regular manner. The position of the patient can be varied to show distortions of the spine or other organs.
|
