Analyser for colour negative - has adjustable wedge filters and combined viewer for test print and negative for subjective comparison

An analyser for colour negatives in an enlarger has a mounting for a test print which is viewed by transmitted light from a control lamp and via wedge filters. The light from the negative is projected onto the viewing screen and illuminates the frame surround. The correct colour balance is then obtained subjectively by adjusting the filters. The analyser is adaptable to most colour enlargers and printers. It enables the amateur to obtain colour-corrected and correctly-exposed prints with only one test print prepared in a non-critical exposure. No complex electronic controls or closed TV system are required.
