PURPOSE:To increase the versatility with respect to the designing of a document, by varying the photosensing characteristics of a photoelectric element corresponding to the part of the document. CONSTITUTION:A document 1, while fed by a paper feeding mechanism as shown by an arrow (a), is read. A filter interchanging mechanism 7 is provided between a lens 5 and a photoelectric element 6. The filter interchanging mechanism includes one element glass 8 and more than one infrared rays cutting filters 9. Further, this mechanism includes a rotary shaft 10 and a driving motor 11. The turning of the motor 11 changes filters 8 and 9 over each other. The replacement of the filters depends upon format specifying information. |
