<p>Prodn. of a vaccine against viruses comprises prepn. of a conjugate in which the virus is covalently bonded to a saccharide (I). (I) are starch, amylose, dextran, polysucrose, pullulan, elsinan, curdlan, gum arabic, gum tragacanth, guar gum, etc. they have mol. wt. 10000-1 million. Specified viruses are vaccinia, polio, influenza, japanese encephalitis, yellow fever, measles, hepatitis B, Sendai, etc. Compared with conventional vaccines these compns. cause a much reduced prodsn. of IgE (which cause allergic and anaphylactic reactions) without reducing prodn. of antiviral IgG and IgM.</p> |
