<p>An electronic detector of rotational motion, esp. for aircraft and ship navigation systems, is easily made in very small sizes. One or more conducting loops (2) are embedded in or attached to a carrier substrate (1). Current is passed through the loops. Parallel with the loops are one or more conducting elements (5). The performance characteristics of these elements (5) vary in response to a shift to its outer edges of charge carriers caused by a gyroscopic effect resulting from the rotation of the plane contg. the conducting loops. The conductor loops may be either of n or p-doped semiconducting material embedded in respectively p- or n-doped substrate semiconducting material.
