The burner is for a gas-heated unit, having a qas distribution chamber with burner pipes on the top equipped with burner openings. Additional burner openings are formed in the top of the chamber (16), between the burner pipes (19). In the axial direction these can be in line with those in the pipes, and there can also be further openings at right angles to these additional ones, branching off from the pipes between the inlet openings and the latter.
