The cupboard is suspended by from displaceable hook (60) set in a casing (18) which is fitted to the back of the cupboard and is designed as a rectangular frame with low frame depth. A holder (24) for the hook (60) can be swivelled about a horizontal axis a between the frame elements (20,22) which run vertically in the intended fastening position. The holder can be fixed in selected swivel positions and the hook (60) can be displaced vertically on the holder (24) to allow correct positioning. A cam plate (46) rotatably mounted on or in the holder (24) is mounted between the holder (24) and hook (60) and contains a spiral groove (48) worked in to the flat side facing the hook (60) so that a projection (64) of the hook can engage in same.
