A sound synchronisation for a cine projector has a four head pick-up with two cassette drives independently stopped and started in response to signals from the film. The cassettes operate in sequence with an overlap period for synchronisation. The synchronisation programme starts each cassette shortly before its track is required, and synchronises it with the running track. At the end of a track a warning operates to indicate to the projectionist that the cassette requires changing, during the time the other cassette is running.
|
