Organo-tin compounds of the formula I <IMAGE> wherein n is 1 or 2, R is hydrogen or a C1-C18acyl radical, X is oxygen or sulfur, and R' is C1-C20alkyl. These compounds are stabilizers for halogen-containing polymers. The starting materials for obtaining these compounds are also claimed.
