PURPOSE:To provide the refractory having structural spalling resistance, anticorrosion, wear resistance and high strength, by preparing it using dolomag and lime clinker as raw materials. CONSTITUTION:One or more clinkers of the electrically fused or sintered magnesia clinker, dolomite clinker and synthetic magdols clinker having particle size adjusted are blended with one or more clinkers of the electrically fused or sintered clinkers having a perticle size of 0.2mm. or more. For example, about 90-30wt% of the former is blended with about 10-70wt% of the latter, an organic binder such as paraffin wax or the like is added to them, and the mixture is heated and kneaded to give an ash earth compound. The compound is molded under a high pressure and then burned. Or when not burned, the above-mentioned blended composition is kneaded with an organic binder such as a phenol resin or the like to give an ash earth compound. With the refractory, even when the change of properties and the compactness in the texture of the refractory proceeds due to the penetration of a slag component, the lime clinker particles being present as a skelton in the periphery of the matrix provide steadily hot creap properties, alleviating abrupt thermal shocks around the tuye re. |
