PURPOSE:The vector in which the arg A gene controlling N-acetylglutamic acid synthetase is built is included in a DNA acceptor in Escherichia and the microorganism is cultured, then the titled substance is collected from the culture mixture. CONSTITUTION:The arg A gene that controls N-acetylglutamic acid synthetase is extracted from a microorganism in Escherichia. The gene is built in the vector- DNA that is obtained from the plasmid of Escherichia, then included in the DNA acceptor in Escherichia. The resultant L-arginine-producing microorganism is cultured in a usual medium containing carbon source, nitrogen source, inorganic ions and aminoacids aerobically until the accumulation of L-arginine stops. L-arginine is collected from the culture mixture by a usual method. |
