PURPOSE:To obtain a clean coated surface by allowing a coating soln. to overflow a vessel every time a substrate for a photoreceptor is dipped in the soln. when the substrate is coated with a photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A coating soln. 5 is poured in a vessel 1, and a substrate 6 for a drum-shaped electrophotographic receptor is dipped in the soln. 5. At this time, the soln. 5 is allowed to overflow the upper edge of the vessel 1 and discharged into a trough 2. A film formed on the surface of the soln. 5 by the evaporation of the solvent, dust, etc. flow out together with the overflowing soln., so they do not stick to the surface of the substrate 6, and a smooth coated surface is obtd. The coating soln. is replenished from a cock attached to the bottom of the vessel every time the drum 6 is dipped so that overflow is always caused every time the drum 6 is dipped. |
