PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency by providing a conveying means which grasps and conveyes sheet originals by means of press-contact rollers or the like, and a winding and conveying means such as gripping drum, providing a freely changeable slit optical means, selectively using the conveying means corresponding to the styles of originals and copying modes and changing over lighting means and optical paths simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A sheet original conveying means A and a sheet original winding and conveying means B are provided in combination, and a gate 3 is provided behind an original insertion table 1 and feeding rollers 2. The means A is used at such an occasion when the copying of one sheet is simply carried out, like in copying of a long original that cannot be gripped on a drum 10. The means B is used for copying of plural sheets. A changeover slit optical system 32 is changed over according to the conveyance of such originals so that the lighting means and optical paths corresponding to the style of the conveyance of these originals are properly changed over. |
