PURPOSE:To form pellets in a good yield and in a stable manner, by mounting a pair of nozzles with a cutter therebetween, and jetting a compressed gas through the nozzles thereby preventing both the pellets from sticking to each other and the temperature of the cutter from rising. CONSTITUTION:A kneaded mixture of synthetic resin molding materials blended in a prescribed ratio is charged via a loading inlet 17 into an extruding machine 1, and the kneaded mixture is delivered toward a die plate 4 by a screw 2 to be extruded through bores 12 in the die plate 4. The extruded parts are cut by the rotating cutter 5 whose opposite surfaces are being cooled by a compressed gas jetted from gas outlets 7, so that rounded and almost globular pellets which are rich in fluidity. Accordingly, as the compressed gas is jetted to the cutter 5 via the nozzles 6, 6 adjacent thereto, the sticking of the pellets to each other and to the cutter is prevented, and as the extruded parts are cooled rapidly by the adiabatic expansion of the compressed gas, the cutting is made with ease. |
