摘要 <p>The surface is located centrally to the optical axis of pulsed radiation emitted by a radiation source (1). The surface region radiated may be adjusted in a definite manner by an optical system. Parts with a constant area belonging to the radiated surface (4) are radiated in successive steps, and an optical system (2) in the beam path ensures the constant area is maintained during each radiation step. There are optical elements in the beam path. They are adjustable w.r.t. one another so for a specific value of any parameter of the beam cross-section - the obtd. area of the beam cross-section is maintained constant. The part areas of the surface radiated in successive steps are pref. rotationally symmetric w.r.t. the optical axis of the beam of radiation with the radii of the part areas decreasing or increasing in succession. The optical system comprises three elements, with two of them displaceable along the optical axis by control system, (3) w.r.t. specific control curves. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for precision removal of material surface layers. C.f. prior art, the system is less complicated and less expensive to implement.</p>
