PURPOSE:To enable to measure and calibrate the delay time of the laser range finder accurately and simply by using an optical fiber having the input and output terminals housed in a constant temperature oven. CONSTITUTION:Input and output terminals 27 and 28 are attached to the optical fiber 29 having a predetermined length. The fiber 29 is housed in the constant temperature oven 211, and a delay line which is not subjected to the ambient temperature is formed. The optical pulses from a transmitter 21 of the laser range finder whose delay time is to be measured is fed to the fiber 29 from the input terminal 27, and the output from the output terminal 28 is received by receivers 22 and 23. The difference between the time of said output signal and the time of the laser start signal is measured by a time interval counter 24, and the delay time of the range finder is measured. In this constitution, the delay time of the laser range finder can be accurately and simply measured and calibrated. |
