PURPOSE:To obtain a coil which is stable in the quality thereof by a method wherein the wire is pressed by a cylinder by means of a platelike brake member. CONSTITUTION:The brake member 21 of a receiving plate 12 and the brake member 18 equipped to the cylinder 14 for pressing the upper surface of the wire are arranged vertically while the brake member 20 on a bottom plate 11 and the brake member 19 equipped to the cylinder 15 for pressing the side part of the wire are arranged in parallel. The pressing cylinders 14, 15 are equipped with pressure reduction valves 22, 23 respectively so as to permit the regulation of the pressing forces thereof. Accordingly, not only a strong winding tension can be provided to the wire but also the control of the tension can be effected easily and further the winding tension can be held at constant value at all times by the cylinders regardless of the abrasion of the brake members due to the passing of the wires, therefore, the coil which is stable in the quality thereof may be obtained. |
