<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the safe and smooth running of a caster in any running route by controlling the pushing force of a spring to push and fit a ball to a caster shaft on the basis of the operation of a knob for strongly restraining the rotation of a caster in straight running. CONSTITUTION:A ball 3d is pushed to a concave part of a shaft 3c by the force of a spring 3e, and the shaft 3c is fixed for straight running to the extent to be freely rotated with a weak force. At this stage, when a knob 12 is pulled to a direction D to fit a convex part 11a of a stopper 11 into the catch groove of a guide 13, a lever 3g is turned by a wire 9 to increase the pushing force of the ball 3d to the shaft 3c, and the caster 3 is strongly restrained for its rotation. This construction contributes to adjust the fixing force for a caster, and consequently obtain safe and smooth running in any running route.</p> |
