PURPOSE:To make it possible to effect the change-over between the two-phase excitation system and the one-two phase excitation system of a pulse motor having a four-phase winding at any point of time, by providing a counter, multiplying and dividing means, a decision circuit, a control means, a decoder and the like which are specified respectively. CONSTITUTION:Provided are a counter 11 which counts up and down the pulses PR and PL for controlling a pulse motor 4 so as to rotate rightward and leftward respectively, and a multiplying means to double the content of said counter 11 as well as a dividing means to halve the same. Moreover provided are a decision circuit 13 which stores the requiring signal RQ for the change-over between the one-two phase excitation system and the two-phase excitation system and outputs said signal as a change-over controlling signal after the lowest order bit of the content of the counter 11 has been 0, and a means 14 which actuates said multiplying means or dividing means at a point of time to change over the excitation systems according to said controlling signal. According to the change-over controlling signal from the decision circuit 13, the content of the counter 11 is decoded in a decoder 12 to control the excitation of each phase of the pulse motor 4. |
