Ventilation fan for automobile alternator or dynamo - has resilient washer between fan blade and hub absorbing machine vibrations

The fan comprises a disc with a central hub mounted on the shaft of the dynamo or alternator and radial projections forming the fan blades. A resilient washer for dampening the machine vibrations is fitted between a shoulder of the hub and the fan disc. The fan disc is secured to the hub by rivets which compress the resilient washer between the shoulder of the hub and the disc, with a radial gap left between the inside edge of the disc and the hub. The washer may have a rectangular cross-section or an L-shaped cross-section so that it fits into the latter radial gap between the disc and the hub. The fan is protected from the mechanical machine vibrations.
