PURPOSE:To perform invariably accurate tape position detection by reading block information, recorded at a position between sound blocks, in fast-forwarding or rewinding state and then by generating a single pulse by integrating the block information. CONSTITUTION:At the 2nd corresponding track position between sound blocks recorded on the 1st track, a block pulse in recorded. This pulse is detected by the 2nd recording reproducing head 12 in fast-forwarding mode and through an integrating circuit 21, a waveform shaping circuit 22, etc., a single pulse is generated from the block pulse. When a single-pulse count value reaches a prescribed value, a play state is set through a CPU12 and the 1st recording and reproducing head 11 reproduces a desired sound block on the 1st track. In rewind mode, a block is similarly reproduced and while no influences of noises are exerted, invariably accurate tape position detection is achieved by counting single pulses without an error in counting. |
