The arrangement is intended for packaging bottles (2), or the like, in a container (1) folded from a cardboard or similar blank. The bottom (4) and the rear panel (5) are first glued to two side flaps to form a front-open box and three bottles are then successively placed against the rear panel, each time bending a tongue (19,20) cut from the bottom upwards to locate and separate the bottles. A longitudinal strip (23) cut from the bottom is then bent upwards to separate the first row from a second one, which is now inserted and located by similar tongues. The box is then placed with the open side upwards and further flaps are folded down and glued to close this side and thus form an enclosed pack.
