<p>PURPOSE:To reproduce a control signal stably at an optional tape running speed including the stopping of a tape without reference to fluctuations of temperature and a secular change, by using a magnetic resistance effect type head. CONSTITUTION:From a magnetic resistance effect type head 102 having nearly the same characteristics with a magnetic resistance effect type head 101, the reference resistance value of the head 101 is determined. Then, a current is flowed from a voltage source 112 via a resistance R1 to the head 101, and a current is flowed via a resistance R2 to the head 102; and a difference in voltage drop between the head 101 ane the head 102 is amplified by differential amplifier 106, whose output is held by a sample holding circuit 108, and the held voltage is applied to the R2 to obtain a reproduced control signal from the output terminal 107 of the amplifier 106.</p> |
