Straight staircases with a fixed horizontal and vertical span can have only one fixed angle between step and longitudinal runner if the steps are to remain horizontal. The assembly allows the above parameters to be varied by tilting the steps to the horizontal. The sections can be made using the staircase parts which are notched or moulded to suit or they can be made of another material and fixed to the staircase parts.
