PURPOSE:To cancel influences of vibrations in the width direction of a tape by detecting the vibrations and by making a rotary magnetic head at right angles to the track width direction with the detection signal. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic playback head 10 fixed to a lower cylinder 11 detects widthwise vibrations of a tape 12, its signal is inputted to a control circuit 13 and a movable element composed of bimorph, etc., supporting a rotary magnetic head 1 is controlled through a brush 7 and a slipping part 6. The movable element 2 displaces the head 1 as much as the tape is displaced. Consequently, influences of widthwise vibrations of the tape are canceled. |
