PURPOSE:To obtain the titled biaxially oriented film having excellent slipperiness, chipping resistance, etc., by containing cocoon-shaped fine inert particles. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially oriented film containing cocoon-shaped fine inert particles in a polyester. The cocoon-shaped particles having 0.1-5mu average major axis (DL) and 1.4-1.9 ratio (DL/DW) of the average major axis to the average minor axis (DW) are used. The amount of the above-mentioned particles is 0.005-5wt.%. Silica, titanium dioxide or a silicone is used as the afore- mentioned particles. |
